Join us for three days of schooling and competition on Canoe Creek Equestrian’s professionally maintained turf fields. Turf to Timber offers a friendly, welcoming competition where horses and riders can build confidence, experience natural terrain and enjoy something beyond the traditional show ring.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday, September 11
Schooling rounds in the Jumper Field and Hunter Trial Field.
Saturday, September 12 Standalone CADORA dressage tests, Combined Trials and Jumper Field Clear Rounds.
Sunday, September 13 Turf to Timber Hunter Trials and Hunter Under Saddle.
FRIDAY SCHOOLING ROUNDS
Friday schooling rounds are not judged or placed. Schooling is available in both fields at the following levels:
• Turf Tracks — Ground Poles
• Logs & Sticks — 0.45 m
• 0.60 m
• 0.70 m
• 0.80 m
• 0.90 m
Fees per field and height:
• One round — $25
• Two rounds — $50
• Three rounds — $60
Additional schooling rounds may be added at the show if time permits.
SATURDAY DRESSAGE TESTS
Standalone dressage tests are $40 each or three tests for $100.
All tests will be ridden in a 20 m × 40 m arena. Riders must choose an appropriate test from the CADORA website and provide the exact test name when registering.
Standalone dressage tests must be finalized by September 8 so ride times can be scheduled. Tests cannot be added or changed after that date.
SATURDAY COMBINED TRIALS
Each Combined Trials entry includes two elements: a dressage test followed by a jumping round on the turf field.
Dressage penalties form the starting score. Jumping faults and time penalties are added separately, and the lowest final penalty score wins. Ties will be broken by the competitor whose jumping time is closest to the optimum time for that class.
Divisions and dressage tests:
• Turf Tracks — Ground Poles — Walk/Trot Test B
• Logs & Sticks — 0.45 m — Training Level Test A
• 0.60 m — Training Level Test B
• 0.70 m — Training Level Test D
• 0.80 m — First Level Test A
• 0.90 m — First Level Test B
Combined Trials are $80 per entry.
A rider-and-horse combination may enter twice, including twice at the same level. Only the first entry at a level is eligible for class placing and championship points.
Combined Trials entries must be finalized by September 8 and cannot be added or changed after that date.

SATURDAY CLEAR ROUNDS
Saturday Jumper Field Clear Rounds may be entered separately. These rounds are not included in Combined Trials scoring.

• Three rounds — $85
SUNDAY HUNTER TRIALS
The Turf to Timber Hunter Trial is inspired by traditional field hunting. Competitors will navigate a flowing hunter-style course over open turf and natural terrain.
Course elements may include natural logs, timber fences, brush, coops, changes of pace, a gate, the Canoe Creek Sheep Pen Challenge and natural galloping stretches.
The judge will consider rhythm, pace, style over fences, manners, rideability, confidence, willingness and overall suitability as a field hunter.

• 0.90 m
Hunter Trial fees:
• One judged round — $50
• Two rounds — $100
• Three rounds — $120
Only the first round is judged and eligible for placing. Additional rounds are schooling rounds.
HUNTER UNDER SADDLE
Hunter Under Saddle classes are offered in each corresponding Hunter Trial division and cost $20 per class.
Hunter Under Saddle is required for eligibility for the Overall Turf to Timber Hunter Trial Championship and the Turf to Timber Weekend Championship.

Boarding
Canoe Creek Equestrian offers Full Board in a professional, well-managed facility where horse care and health are our top priority. We provide consistent, attentive daily care to ensure each horse’s comfort, safety, and well-being.
Full Board includes daily feeding, turnout, blanketing, stall cleaning, and routine care, giving owners peace of mind that their horse is well cared for.

Little Boots Club
Little Boots Club is a gentle, introduction-to-ponies program designed especially for children ages 2–4, offering a fun and positive first experience with horses in a calm, supportive environment.
This program focuses on early confidence-building, sensory exploration, and connection, allowing young children to interact with our kind, well-trained ponies through supervised grooming and short, gentle rides. Each child participates alongside a parent or caregiver, creating a safe and reassuring experience that supports both independence and trust.

No previous horse experience is required.
A parent or caregiver must participate with the child.
All activities are fully supervised by experienced instructors.
